Ultra-wide screen monitors

Does anyone have experience using an ultra widescreen monitor with a recording setup?

I would imagine you could run a long timeline and fader window side by side fairly easily and avoid the need/want for a dual screen setup.

It's nice, but I still prefer a multi screen setup for flexibility and cost.
I use the laptop screen and two (sometimes three) 27" monitors one of them mounted in portrait orientation (excellent for reading music and documents).

After nearly 10 years of using 2 monitors, (sometimes 3) I have jumped the fence and went for a curved widescreen.

I was skeptical at first, but now I love it. No more timelines or spreadsheets with a break in the middle from spanning multiple monitors. More room on my desk, too.

If you use multiple monitors because you have many windows/apps open, then there's not a big advantage going widescreen. If you typically work with one app that requires a lot of screen area, then a widescreen will work well for you.
