UNBELIEVABLE EBAY FIND!

My guess is, he'll get the crap lowball'ed out of him Ebay-style, with people ranting and raving that his price is too high. Or, he'll get nothing at all.

I try to put "high lines" on stuff I sell on Ebay and get tumbleweeds, regardless of what it is.

That is a super cool bas regardless of the asking price. I can't believe people would take the time to b!tch at a seller that their price is too high, it's like complaining to them that you don't have enough money.
FWIW, you're one of the few sellers listing decent stuff who's BIN isn't a good 50%-75% above fair market value. I appreciate sellers who don't try to get rich off of one auction but instead sort of gear their business more toward customer satisfaction and repeat business.

I don't think these guys can count.

"dated 9/57, it's full sized "V" shaped maple neck has a date also from 9/57"
"purchased new by Dominick Delvecchio & played for the next 60 years all around the New York State are."
Let`s see, I was born in 1955, so I`m 2 years older that it is, and I`m not 60 yet. :eyebrow:

:D

Thanks, I do what I can :) Just a man trying to pay off $45k in student loans, aha. I've actually tried to raise prices a bit here and there but I've found that perhaps my less-refined listings don't do the parts justice. Ah well. Ebay is a bat out of hell sometimes with regards to customer satisfaction. Just had a guy today demanding me to take back a set of '66 pots he received 25 days ago, claiming they don't work anymore. How a whole set can die is beyond me, besides the fact he's left + feedback weeks ago. My guess is he's got no reason to use them anymore. That's a hard river to ford in a dispute process and maintaining a good reputation in Ebay for an arrogant tard like me is not easy :hmm:;)

Hopefully I haven't swung wrong on any TB'ers.

But I digress, back to sexy time with the P. I'm not a P guy, but try to be. I wonder if that one would change me over to the thumpy side...

I know that some people love the history of old Fenders etc. and i think some of them look amazing. I just can't help but think how many manky hands have been on that bass?! Call me a neat-freak, but i'd want to give it a good wash and disinfectant before i touched it. Lol.

Would there be hand washing before the next practice? Debatable.

Hahaha, that's exactly what i was alluding to! I just had this vision of guys going into the toilet and whatnot and not washing their hands of course! I'm sure that is all part of the appeal of a vintage instrument, but that sort of history is the history i'd rather not think about ;) (and that bass does look particularly... well, soiled).

Having said that, the number of times i've gone into a shop to tinker around on their instruments and never spared a thought about who has touched them before me. Now, i'm starting to sound like my friend who has the phobia of touching traffic light crossing buttons. Oh, the irony

Ah, the whole "buyer's market" is a whole 'other story. I've never had trouble selling goods in the past (non bass related, albeit still music-related). Now, however, is another story. Whilst i never used to hesitate in buying goods (if i had the money) thinking i could sell them off later, i now give it a great deal of thought, as it's not as easy anymore (or maybe i just do really bad ad campaigns)!

Sorry, off topic..

:D

Also, I've tried to make a google search on the name Dominick Delvecchio bassist or bass player and came out with nothing apart from ordinary people, a fireman a policeman but no one remotely related to the music industry. Who the **** was he? :D
