I just spit out my coffee70's sound? Underwood or Fishman BP 100 connected to a curly cord rawdoging a Polytone. That's the sound that was in my head growing up.

Curly cords saved my Ampeg B-15N's life when it fell of the back of an elevated stage platform. Two Shaller curly cords worked just like bungee's and stretched out to soften the hit.

...forged by Hephaestus himself on Mount Olympus out of metal from Achilles' armor?
My favourite was an audiophile ethernet cable. It was reviewed by somebody who swore blind he could hear the difference between which side of the consumer-grade switch it was connected, between his Macbook and his HiFi system. If your ears can detect the difference then they're more sensitive than multi-thousand-dollar analytical instruments.
Read up on what Bob Pease had to say about the "golden ears" and all the special power cords, speaker cords, interconnects, etc., 99.99999999% of which is total arrant bullsh$$$.
Or that time they tried to sue BlueJeans cables for patent infringement, which is how they found out it was founded by a former patent attorney. That was just beautiful to read.I remember when ‘Monster” used to offer cables that were instrument specific.
