Undiscovered Bass Maker?

+1 hes is one cool guy I don't have the cash for one yet and he still will talk me,I've seen quite a few of his basses through out the build process just high quality works of art.when I'm ready for one he will build it & I will play it.
Dear OP: Skjold basses! You want custom...then he is the way to go. There is absolutely NO GAMBLE on the quality or playability or feel in the hand with his basses. I had the privilege of playing 2-3 basses that Pete Skjold (also a TB'er) brought to a Get Together for the (mainly) Columbus, Ohio players about 3 yrs ago. Blew me away. I've never seen a better, tightly put-together bass with real craftsmanship than his. I'm sure a Browne bass is equal quality but he's outta the biz for now although I dearly love what I have seen of his as well. I'd get a Skjold blindfolded without a worry in the world if I could.
So do yourself a favor and do nothing until you have talked to Pete about your needs.
