Unexpected NAD- Ampeg PF-50T

I wasn't expecting to come home with a new amp today, but man, did I get lucky.
So: my son came over from the Gulf side of Florida to visit for a couple days. We like to hit the local music stores and see what's new, and spend some time together checking out gear. We were heading out to Sam Ash, which is about an hour away, then decided at the last minute to hit the local GC instead, just to save time since it was closer and traffic was a pain.
I wander into the bass room and there, much to my surprise, sat a new PF-50T for $324.
Long story short, that amp, along with a PF-15HLE, is sitting in my living room. I couldn't believe no one had bought that amp, since it had been on clearance for over a week, according to the tag. I had been looking at this particular amp/cab pair for probably a couple years now, but couldn't justify the cost since I am not in a band anymore. But for $324? In the car it went!
Looking forward to playing through this thing tomorrow. It's getting late and the neighbors probably wouldn't appreciate me cutting loose on this thing, so it can wait. I'm just glad we had a change in plans and I stumbled across it

That is a great rig and you found a killer deal . Just wait till you get to give it a good Workout. Just remember that speaker surrounds need to break in before they sound their best. So the sound will change over the first few days when you play it. Also Check the speaker, Horn and handle mounting screws the ones in my 2 PF112HLF's were all loose and it sounded better once they were tightened up just don't over tighten them snug is better than stripping out the wood.

Apparently this head had been there for a looooong time. It was filthy lol. Actually had little dust bunnies inside the cage where the tubes are:oops:. But about 10 minutes with a damp cloth, a dry paintbrush, and some alcohol to get the stupid price tags off, it looks brand new.
Nighttrain, I will check those screws, thanks for the heads up.
Question: when getting all the dust out, my cloth brushed up against one of the Ruby tubes and the printing on the glass came right off. Is this normal? Not overly concerned, as the amp works fine, just curious as to whether that is a common thing.

That is just screen printed on there you did not do any damage and it is normal but usually keep alcohol away from tubes ect. Better to just a damp cloth on the surfaces as alcohol could in some cases discolor the finish. If you need more than water mild cleaner sprayed on a cloth. And you might want to check to be sure the tubes are seated properly in the sockets. You do not need gloves or anything else to do this and no adjustments are needed after. You may however want to check to be sure the bias is set properly weather you reseat the tubes or not.

Looks very cool with the PF-15HLE! I am loving mine, they seem to be a potential bargain at the moment (mine new was about 60% average store price here).

+1 to everything @Nighttrain1127 mentions... I have two PF115HE cabs, both purchased new, but a few years apart. For a time, there was a noticeable difference between the cabs, so I just used the newer cab exclusively for a few months until it was well broken in. Also, wholeheartedly agree on taking 1/2 hour and tightening all of the bolts throughout the cab, although in this regard, the newer cab was much better. Most everything was nice and tight out of the box. Enjoy!!

Great score! I presume you mean the PF-115HE cab?
