Unexpected rarity in your collection

That is a picture of mine, taken on the front porch of my last home. I obviously changed the pickguard to black before taking the picture posted above at my current home. I also removed Billy's signature because I really hate defacing a bass body with a Sharpie Marker.

The Yamaha Attitude basses became my two favorites over a couple of years with them and I've sold off a dozen other basses.
The necks just feel better than everything else, ...so all the rest are gone.

I went the opposite way.. I've been playing for about 30 years. I played basses with the wide p bass nut width for the first 12 years and, 7 of those years was with this bass. Then I bought my first jazz bass in 2006, and I've been playing basses with the J nut width since then.

This one is retired and although I thought of selling it, my brother prevents me from doing so. I got a got a lot of memories with this bass, it was the bass I played when I served in military even.

Not sure exactly how rare this is, but I looked for YEARS until I finally located an unlined fretless Steinberger XL-2. When I finally found one, it was a white 1987 model.

I didn't know it when I bought it off ebay in 2005. Curious, I emailed Bill Conklin, turns out 29-30 were built before (Korean) production ceased due to Bartolini being unable to supply the custom-spec'd pickups and 2-band.

My Fender Jazz 24, which was only produced for a few years in the 2000s. This one was made in 2005 in cherryburst, and is becoming more and more rare. I've never seen another Jazz 24 in the wild, either.
