Hello. I'm considering getting an MXR M68 Uni-Vibe pedal but I can't find any demos of it with bass guitar. Has anyone tried it? Also, does anyone know of any songs that have uni-vibe on the bass guitar? Thanks.
I haven’t tried a real Uni-Vibe on bass, but I’ve got an old Boss V-Wah which as a simulation of uni-vibe with foot control on it, which I have tried with bass. I had fun. I could get a sound similar to Led Zeppelin’s Heartbreaker. I don’t have a real need for that effect (and the pedal lives on my guitar pedalboard), but it sounds cool and fun.
No experience with the MXR but I have and use a Voodoo Lab Micro Vibe, a J. Rockett Tranquilizer and a VFE Enterprise with my bass from time to time.
Uni-Vibe pedals are pretty similar to phasers so if you like that kind of swirl, imagine adding a throb impulse to the bottom of the sweep and you're in the ballpark.

Hello. I play and love the Fulltone Mini DejáVibe MDV-1 18V with bass guitar.
Although I can't think of any 'vibe bass tracks now, in my experience there is nothing else quite like the sound.
For me, what makes the 'vibe sound distinctive is the tearing (as in ripping, not as in crying) or smearing quality. Some other processing is similar; harmonic tremolo and the MXR CSP026 '74 Vintage Phase 90 come to mind. But the classic 'vibe sound is singular.
