Unique Discount Code Share Thread

Maybe I'm mistaken, but aren't the GC e-mail codes just the same discount they offer directly from their website? I'm also starting to wonder if they jack up the list price of a lot of the higher value items that are eligible for the discount once the sale starts...have not verified yet but thought there were some Lakland Skylines for less than what they're listed at now just a couple weeks ago.

I've seen that happen absolutely for sure on Markbass amps, so I wouldn't doubt it at all.

I already used one last week and received a new one today.

I'm feeling like I must warn people that I believe GC/MF are not able to order new stock due to their bankruptcy. I received two darkglass elements in a row, both open box, and neither functional. They apparently have no new ones, and are unable to get them. They did take the returns with no issues, but I'd be careful.

I got my beloved Epiphone Embassy bass from MF and by calling they had a 15% coupon available. Like @KJMO i bought a Rumble 200 from GC that was busted- did notice it was opened from the bottom before I got it. I do think this is the way it's been for a long time tho. Yet another reason to buy used and local whenever possible.

I've gotten great deals from MF, but I'm really cheesed. The sales person asked if it was ok that they send a demo from a Guitar Center, and I said no. I paid for a new one, I don't want a demo. They sent the demo anyway. I don't think they can get new stock, because other stores have new stock, and they obviously can't get it. I might modify my statement by saying I think the probability you get a openbox, demo and/or broken unit is significantly higher now that they can't get new stock.
