Hi there! I wrote a couple of weeks back that I had picked up a Univox lucite bass. And almost put it back down, dang it's heavy. Anyway I have questions: Is the pick-guard the original? Everything else on the bass looks original. Where would I find the serial number? Is there a database for Univox serial numbers? Any help appreciated. I'm just including one picture, if more pictures are needed, I will post them. Thanks much!

I'm not an expert but I think the pick guard is not original, it doesn't have wood grain like the Dan Armstrong they were copying. I use to own a Dan Armstrong Ampeg, I know a little about the pick guard.

If my memory serves me right the pickguard was wood grain like the original. Nice score on a cool bass!
