Unnecessary fears

I get extremely uncomfortable when I see people getting embarrassed. I'm trying to figure out how to explain this thoroughly. If I'm watching TV and I see someone doing something embarrassing I get physically uncomfortable to the point where I will pretend I need to go get a drink or go to the bathroom or something so I am out of the room when the embarrassing act happens.

I try to keep myself in the room and I'll actually start shaking and become ill feeling.

+1 to this. I can't handle it at all. Especially the "loser" auditions on those talent shows. Why humilate someone on international TV.

I thank god that I was not born in Australia...
If I had to deal with their day-glo orange, flying spiders the size of cars, that imitate human babies crying to lure in victims I'd go insane! :help:

:p

I have no real fear of spiders or snakes or shellfish (yeah, some of our shellfish will kill you pretty dead too). I have a healthy respect for them, in the same way I “respect” anything that has the inclination to do me harm and given the choice of a brown snake or a brown bear – which would you choose to meet?

I do however have a borderline Phobia of having to communicate, alone, with another person. I’m fine in a group of 3, but if it’s just me and one person making small talk I freak out. Even over the phone.

I’m comfortable with my wife and maybe my brother, but as far as anyone else is concerned, even good mates, I like to have someone else around.
