I'm excercising a lot more than I used to. Eating mostly healthier, that's about it so far. I'll let you know in a couple weeks.

My goal is 255lbs. Thats a realistic goal for me. I will still be a bit overweight but there is now WAY I'm getting below that. At 255 I will look OK and feel MUCH better. The Dr. says I should be at 190. I weighed 225 in high school, the Dr. can bite me, LOL!!! I think a realistic goal is very important.MJ5150 said:For all the guys who have dropped a good amount of weight, what are you doing with the extra skin?

I'd hardly call that a rant. More like a large amount of good advice!poptart said:Wow a really intesteing thread - IMO avoid all processed foods, avoid all fast foods, avoid all fried foods, cut down on carbohydrates including bread, white pasta, cans of soda (sugar is a complex carbohydrate and converts to fat if you don't burn it off). Avoid products that come in boxes/packages (cookies, chips etc) that say they are fat free (they generally contain sugars and salt). Try to eat fresh foods plenty of salad (use olive oil dressing which is low in cholestral - a good fat!), steam your veggies, eat fish, lean meats (animal fat is a no no), grill your fish/meat, avoid dressings like ketchup etc thay are full of sugar and salt.
Do as much excersize as you can - walking is superb low impact exersize, cycle if possible, join a club with particiaption sports if you can - give your self a routine for all of the above that works for you and take medical advise if you can.
