Unplanned (NBD) extremely cheap Mike Dirnt Fender P Bass

Went for strings ended up with a bass.

$459 used, it just came in on a trade. plays and sounds fine missing it's hard shell case and pick guard, also it was kind of scuffed up so I thought that was one of the reasons it's so inexpensive, but apparently it's just a road worn version

It's definitely not my most favorite neck in the whole world. I'm used to playing jazz bass guitars anymore so this thing feels like I'm holding a cricket bat

I bought a Dirnt neck from the Stratosphere for my reclaimed wood 51 project. I paid about 5 bills just for the neck, so you did good!

I love the neck on mine btw. I got the maple board as well. It is deep, but still wider than a jazz. It's got a really nice broken in feeling, that's for sure.

What's funny is I also have a Gibson Grabber II, I know on dookie he played a Gibson ripper, but they've always kind of reminded me of each other

Actually on Dookie he used a 90's P bass deluxe since his Gibson's headstock broke and that was what they had in the studio.

I'm actually thinking because it's got the maple neck I want the classic telecaster colors of the butterscotch body with the black pickguard

I like those necks very much. I used to have a '69 tele, and that is about what the neck was like.
