Unpopular Opinion (Fender Jazz)

I joined this forum and am now regretting it. Ive been playing bass for awhile now. I have my own youtube channel, im not a rookie. No matter where i look, people are real dickheads. Thank you for reminding me of that with your insults.
You posted a thread with the title "UnpopularOpinion" based on ONE experience of obviously NOT an actual Fender Jazz bass.( I am far from a Fender fanboi) yet you expect your opinion, based on one experience, again NOT on an actual Jazz bass, a used instrument at that- to be unassailable.
My nine year old has a YouTube channel.

That's no excuse to insult someone. All because I had an opinion ? I dont insult people for having opinions

@GodPlayedBass Why target me? I've said nothing worse than anyone else in this thread. Bottom line is, you came in here to pick a fight, and got one. Your own childish behaviour is what made me think you're 18. No biggie, but you're the same age as my eldest and I can't see him trolling the internet at his age. :D You reap what you sow... :smug:

If you're not sure of the scale length on a bass that you see while out and about, a dollar bill is 6.14", so along the D string on a five, or down the middle of a four, from the nut (or rarely the zero fret) measure two dollar bill lengths, then fold the bill in half lengthwise and again in half lengthwise. Now use 3/4 of the bill. That should get you within a 1/10" of 17". I wouldn't publish the scale length using that technique, but it should be close enough to determine if it's a 33 / 34 / 35" scale length.

I have basses that use some of the ideas from Fender Jazz basses - same scale, similar pickups in similar locations, 4 in a line headstock, etc. Up until I read this, I thought I had a few really good basses. But, after reading this, it's so obvious they're all complete crap. How could I have been so foolish?

We aren't all that happy either. Having your own youtube channel means nothing, anyone can do it. Perhaps a little light reading on your part about the meaning of "opinion" and the meaning of "fact." You started off with an opinion, people gave you multiple valid reasons why your opinion was wrong and then you double down by stating that, "you know what you are talking about." Not this time.

Do we need that? That's another question. :D
What the hell else are we gonna do with all this time on our hands? When you tease a caged tiger, don't be surprised when it rips your arm off. ;)

Nobody insulted you. However, we're having a bit of fun at your expense. It's all in fun, and if you hang out here long enough, you'll come to understand that. This has actually been a great thread.

Now if you really want to have some fun, head on over to the Effects forum and let everyone there know that they don't really need any effects. (Remember to use key phrases and words like "Tone is in the hands" and "crutch".) ;)

Don't forget to go to the DB side and ask what bass sounds just like a DB!
