Unprofessional Refinishes - Drip Patterns & Burn Marks

I like some relic-ing sometimes , but...

Judging form the photos , the less you know the better.

I can't condone with a clear conscience the disposable micturate into the wind esthetic.

I'm not faulting you for your personal taste though , that would be rude.

This isn't relic-ing. It's not trying to make it look old. I want to do it because I want an instrument that stands out and is different that the other million that came off the like the same day.
Please refer to the above comment of "I don't judge the color of your walls, you don't judge mine"

I'm not urinating into the wind.

Okay. I'm going to do this on my old squier.

I want to do three different shades of green in the upper horn. Same area as Tom's white Gibson. I'd like them all to be bright, and get increasingly bright in the transition from right to left. Does that make any sense?

Now since I probably won't be able to find three colors so similar at Walmart, do you think Sherwin-Williams would have that? If not, where could I special order custom shades of paint?

I'm also open to suggestions on color combinations.

Went to Home Depot. Got a little tester can of paint and these little squirt bottles. Couldn't get a syringe.

I tested it on this old skateboard deck to see how I could get the drip to work well.

I'm not really liking it. The drip doesn't form the way I wanted it to. I think it's because I didn't use spray paint. They didn't have the colors of spray paint I wanted. I guess my option is to buy a sprayer, but they were all $100+ and I don't really think there's a reason to buy one for this one time messy job. Can anyone tell me what kind of sprayer I need for this? I see some on Amazon for cheap but I don't really know what I'm looking for.

Maybe you have a talented buddy with an airbrush?

For spray paint colors check the local Michael's Craft location or any other nearby craft supply and modeling supply stores as well. You might find what you're looking for there.

I don't know anyone with an airbrush. I bought a can of white and another can of fluorescent green today. In testing, the only issue now is getting the drip to go so far down the guitar.

So tell me, what's the best technique for screwing up paint?

Erm... what??

As I said, graffiti speak. When you go drop a bomb (spray a tag) somewhere, when you see somebody make a runny tag they are making a statement. A look how much I had kind of statement. Toy is a derogatory term for bad artists in the graffiti scene.

That is what it looked like was done to the guitar in question. There was air in the paint, not just paint sprayed on a guitar.

I don't know where to get needles aside from a needle exchange...

Runny tags are done with a lot of paint, try a stencil and blast the heck out of it, might get your drip where you want it.

Air in the paint huh? I don't think I can get air into the paint.

I like unprofessional paint jobs on some things.

I did that stand with random spray paint cans that I had laying around and masking tape. It looks awesome under black lights! My bass looks purple though.... -___- (not the one in the corner of the pic)
