Unsung Hero's

Thanks, JMX!

Whoa! That's incredible... I would kill to see Dominique, Trilok or John live.

I just got turned on to him about a month ago after purchasing "Que Alegria." Such a great album and great playing all the way around. I know that Dominique has recently come back from a long break from music. He was interviewed at Link Removed last month and has a new album out with Front Page. I can't wait to get it.

my personal unsung heroes of bass are in no order:

Paul Simonen of The Clash.

Bruce Foxton from The Jam

Mike Watt from Minutemen and fIREHOSE

Greg Lake never gets any credit as a bass player, and I probably wouldn't have learned what an Alembic sounded like for many years...

Grand Funk's bass player is great as well.. I don't remember his name though.. I know it's Mark, Don and Mel, but I forget which does which..

Mike Mills early work with R.E.M blows me away.. Listen to Life's Rich Pageant...
