Too bad - I like how subtle it is. A black pg would bring it out a bit more.

I had a bass someone made with a reverse 'burst as silly as that sounds.dark brown faded to yellowish on the outside.A top level real pro job done over to some of the best to die for quilted maple I've ever seen.The body was Gibson grabber style 3 p.u no pickguard.

Yes, town names. Although perhaps instead of "poetic" perhaps I should have said "picturesqe" or quaint. Lostok Gralam works for me, as would Ryton Dimmock; or many things from this

I don't know, man.... This bass just feels too upscale for my needs. Maybe I just need to put it away for a while and see if I ever get back into it.

I agree with the suggestion above. Slap a black guard on it.

That being said, it's yours. Go nuts. Make it look good to you.....no matter what that means. I didn't mean to hammer you over it.

Must say, I've seen some really nice blue bursts, purple bursts, and red bursts. They can be pretty sweet, and not overly common.
