Double Bass Unusual scroll(s)

What a neat thread! When I was a kid I had a weird autistic obsession with carving wooden ventriloquist dummies, and these days I still am nursing the fantasy of one day carving a moving mouth/eye vent figure built into a scroll. Probably one of the sillier, more ridiculous ideas I’ve ever had, but it’s fun to imagine the between song prattle.

I'm acquainted with the original owner of this bass, and i tested it prior to ordering a bass of the same maker. the horse's head is the least exciting thing about it. it's a really perfect bass i thought when i tried it.
