Unwanted Bit-crush effect when playing live?

So I just played a gig and had this absolutely horrendous bit-crushing sound effecting my bass the entire show, I don't run any effects like this so it was very strange. I wasn't able to replicate this when I got home but it seemed to be something on my pedal board or wireless system. I also haven't had this issue on my last two gigs with the same setup or at rehearsal for the last 6 months. Hoping someone here can provide suggestions.

Here's my general setup:

1. BASS
2. Wireless pack (Line6 G50)
3. Pedalboard (Tuner, compressor, sansamp, distortion/eq/pre, reverb)
4. Amp head
5. XLR out to band IEM Mixer and FOH desk (via a splitter)

Power is provided from the venue and into our Furman.

The issue remained after removing the distortion/eq/pre and reverb.

The issue went away when I completely ditched the wireless and the pedalboard and went to a cable to my amp head.

I thought maybe my wireless was dying but at home it's totally fine.

My guess is that this was interference on the 2.4ghz spectrum at the venue on that channel but I don't know if I'd get a bit-crushing effect through that. It seems quite odd? Could it be a power issue? The receiver is powered by the same unit that runs my pedalboard, but I didn't have that problem at home.

Any help would be awesome so I can avoid this in the future!

I think it was your wireless. Especially if it semi cut out and came back that might seem like its a bit crush. I had the same 2.4 unit and there was too much interference. I have since got one of the new Shure GLX-D+ dual band 2.4 and 5.8 wireless units and it's been rock solid since.

To confirm, next time you hear it, just run a bypass on the wireless unit, keeping the effects board active. If it goes away, then it is the line6, if not, you have to bypass each effect till you find it.

One way or the other it seems you have isolated it to that wireless or the board.

Thanks mate. I am considering the GLXD16+. I've had the G50 for quite a while now and figure it might be time for an upgrade. Seems the Shure is a good option.

Without testing each item on the pedal board that you did not remove (tuner, compressor, sansamp) it is safe to assume it was the wireless. I am not familiar with that wireless system. It could have been some odd power issue, but with anything on the 2.4g I am gonn

How to avoid in the future? Have a second or third wireless system that is not on the 2.4ghz. I have one in the 2.4 (that I never use) one in the 900hz that has been good and am waiting on a new one in the 500.
