MXR M87 Bass Compressor - currently $140.32 at Amazon.com

I don't know how "Hot" that deal is, but it's about $50 cheaper than just about anywhere else. For those in the compressor market (like myself), it's a nice discount.

IIRC everything from Planet Waves is garbage. They can't even make a working string winder.

I don't have any experience with their string winders (nor anyone's, as I've never seen the need for them for bass), but I have a PW strap that is very nice for the price, and I happen to love their cables. Very low impedance, very good shield, very quiet, very reliable, lifetime warranty with no questions replacement, excellent customer service, and VERY reasonably priced. I really like the circuit breaker cables too. Its basically a built in mute switch. I've had way better success with those plugs than the neutrik shorting plugs. The included bungee cord wraps are great, too. I've got PW's elliptical strap buttons on all of my basses and IMHO, they're way easier and more secure than any strap button or strap lock I've ever used (I've only ever dropped a bass when using strap locks, and every strap lock I've tried over the last 30 years has let me down).

Now for the obligatory deal: Hercules gs415b for $37.94. That's the folding head model, and its currently cheaper than the gs414b which had the non-folding head. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000ARLFYI/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_YB.vsb1KV6E6K

nothing wrong with the planet waves stuff I've owned. I've got a 12 foot cable of theirs that's beat to sh*t but still works perfect. it's got about four years of heavy gigging on it. I buy cables for the replacement warranty. this one goes from bass to tuner, the monster that goes from tuner to amp has been replaced twice in that time frame.

I've had two Planet Waves breaker cables that were bad. The breaker was bad on one and the other wouldn't stay plugged into the jack on my bass or the jack on effects pedals. Bought another and had no problems with it.

Folks, I'd like to kindly request that you please stop arguing about whether this brand sucks or that brand is the best thing since the advent of twerking.

This thread is supposed to be for deals. When I get an email from TB about this thread I expect to find a deal, not the latest volley in some internet argument that isn't going to be resolved anytime in the next decade.

If you want to debate, there are 85 other TB topic headings where you can take your argument and fill the interwebz with your thoughts. The moderators in those areas are bored and lonely, and would love your company.

Thanks!
