Updated pedal list

I haven’t posted in the effects forum for a while, so I thought it a good time to update this and ask for opinions or suggestions At present I’m running the following and space is tight, so would be looking for suggested substitutions rather than additions.

Pedal train Classic Junior board with Cioks DC7 power supply
Dunlop Cry Baby mini bass wah
MXR M82 Bass Envelope Filter - still not found anything better. What am I missing here?
Laney Black Country Custard Factory bass compressor - solid performer
T Rex Quint Machine - unique
Tech 21 MP40 Geddy signature Sansamp for “dirt” - works for me
Modulation pedals - finally settled with all TC including Bloodmoon phaser, Corona chorus and Thunderstorm flanger
Ampeg SGT DI,extra dirt, very useable and useful EQ

Any thoughts, comments or opinions very welcome.

I've been wanting to retry the MXR M82. Pino sometimes uses one still. Can't be that bad. I've also been meaning to try the Broughton Joshwah. The built-in gain seems useful.

Haven't tried the Laney compressor, but there are so many good ones nowadays. Check out the Empress Bass Compressor.

I never liked the Quint. You could try the newer OC-5 for the OC-2 sound plus extras. Or if you want another unique octave, I've always liked the Aguilar Octomizer. In either cases, you'll won't have the 5.

From your description it sounds like you like everything you have, why update? We can tell what we like the best but it's your pedalboard.

I only like Octaves, Distorions, Envelope Filters, Phasers, and Delays on bass. If you want to hear my favorites, here you go:

Envelope Filter: 3 Leaf Chromatron, MXR BEF (I want to try the Maxon AF-9)
Octave: BOSS OC-2, COG T-47
Distortion: Fairfield Barbershop, Modified BOSS ODB-3, MXR Bass Dist, Wooly Mammoth/Mastadon
Delay: BOSS DD-3, MXR Carbon Copy Mini
Phaser: VFE Tractorbeam V3

I’m afraid I’m no longer able to play any gigs after suffering a stroke a while ago. I’m restricted to my house 24/7 these days.

I'm so sorry to hear. Maybe you could look into the Empress ZOIA:

The ZOIA is basically a modular synthesizer in pedal form. Instead of being a delay effect or tremolo, the ZOIA provides the modules necessary to build a delay or tremolo from the ground up. But since you're the one building it, you can make it do whatever you want. With the ZOIA you can build your own custom effects, synthesizers, midi controllers, and virtual pedal boards. And to make life a little easier, we've created modules for all your standard guitar effects. So for instance, if you want a phaser, you can just plop down a phaser. You don't have to break out the textbooks to learn that they're built out of all-pass filters. (Of course, if you're a nerd like us, you can use the ZOIA to build them out of all-pass filters).
