Upgrading a Cort GB94

I got a Cort GB94 yesterday in a trade.

Pros:
Nice Spalted Maple top with matching headstock
Hipshot Ultralight tuners
Seymour Duncan Pickups
Decent looking bridge
Low action
Comfy Neck
Light weight

Cons:
The Duncan Designed Preamp.

Basically everything rocks except for that preamp and its not even a bad pre. It seems that it is mostly a slap centric preamp. As a finger style player I only found a few sounds I particularly like. It seems particularly bright and sizzly when I'm looking for something warm.

Since its a J/MM setup I'd like something with a master volume and a blend and then a relatively simple preamp.

I've had a GB94. One of the best ones I've had, and I did have basses 5 times the price, even at that same time.

I always wanted to just add a preamp bypass switch, and maybe series/parallel/single for the humb, but never got around to actually doing it.
