Upgrading Fender Deluxe 5 PuPs and Pre

Looking for some suggestions for Pick-Up and Pre-Amps upgrade for my Fender 5 string deluxe. Also getting the shielding issue fixed. I have been thinking of going with:

Delano JMVC 5 FE/S Jazz Bass Single Coil

with

Sadowsky Preamp Kit with Vintage Tone Control 4 Knob

Any thoughts how this would sound, seems like a popular upgrade combo.

I debated swapping at least the pre in my '11 American Deluxe Fender Jazz V. I would have went with a Sadowsky as well, that seems like the proper match for a Fender to me but Marcus Miller may have biased me, ha ha. I was not considering swapping the pickup at the time but I may have after a pre-swap, I would have wanted to try the pre first.

As far as the shielding goes, it is pretty easy. Everything I know on the subject can be read through the link in my signature but there are several other good guides on this site, including one stickied in the pickups forum. If you need any help just make a thread, there are lots of knowledgeable cats willing to help out.

Does it have to be active?

A passive with good pickups might sound just right.

Im new here so ... I have a fender deluxe 5 string 2016. It has a great feel and I love the way it plays. but the pickups and the pre amp are a bit noisy. I was thinking Aguilar hum canceling pups but not sure about the pre. I like the Sadowski but open to anything that will work. I just want a Volume P/P active passive, Pan , bass, treble. I really don't mess with the mids that much so im all for not having that. Any ideas... ?
