As my wife pointed out, this sounds like it belongs on Sesame Street, which fits the age I was when I first heard it. I still think it’s an awesome song, and Roger Miller was a brilliant songwriter.
And speaking of great songwriters, I’ve always loved the first song on City To City, by Gerry Rafferty. Baker Street and Right Down The Line are great, but The Ark is just as good.
