That's my dream bass right there. Carved or hybrid?
Gorgeous. Love the finish! Congrats!
You said fully-carved. A flatback, yes?
Roundback!
Ah, even better! I was fooled by what looks like an angled section at the top of the back. So, you have one of my dream basses.![]()
Eric,
What's the string combination on the bass?
Best,
Louis
I may have missed it, but I've been looking at a Bohemian. I play a lot of louder amplified stuff , some slap. Normally an all laminate seems to be the ticket for that kind of stuff, but I wouldn't mind a more pure acoustic sound and still get some volume when needed. Thinking about a hybrid. Would love any advice!
I have a Bohemian that is currently in the works, all laminated and flat back (Josh's advice). I currently play in a Rockabilly trio, and she will be my weapon of choice, I will have her setup for Rockabilly slapping, and hopefully with guts.
I don't know when she will be ready, but will come back here when she is.
I picked up my new Standard at the Mystic shop on Saturday and can't put it down. The tone and feel is just unbelievable. I'm returning to the DB world after several decades and a long term relationship with a Fender P-Bass. This instrument has such great workmanship, fit and finish. Thanks to all who had a hand in it!
Bruce
Congrats! As we say, no pictures, no bass.![]()
