USA built small combo suitable for 5 string

Pretty much everyone would agree to check your budget and find a guitar store and try out different amps that fit your budget.
It is really that simple, because your sound choice is a personal matter that you need to try out things yourself.

Low Down Sound will make one. Somebody on this board had one made with a Carvin BX500 amp. If I remember correctly, he contacted the builder and told him what he wanted and bought the amp and sent that to the builder for assembly.

My Mesa M3 Carbine blows everything else away in my opinion I tried more than few until I got it and it handles everything you throw at it USA made and with a five year transferable warranty it's a Mesa enough said.

Peavey makes their amps offshore now, and i won't touch one. That's after playing Peavey for over 30 years.

I have set out to buy only a USA made combo. Right now, finances have it slowed down a bit, but sometime this year i will pull the trigger on one.

Since I have pretty strong opinions on amps and cabs, I've never been able to hang on to one for long because I have yet to love the amp and the cab on much of anything :)

Someone has suggested what I would do, which is to have a builder do a cab with a built it 2-4 space on top so you have slide any rack mountable head in there that you wish...just a thought :)

So Randy, I'm sure you're checking each amp for Chinese parts, too, and ruling them out on that basis as well. I guess that means you'll have to go back to the 80's for a combo.

Thought all the Heritage were already spoken for? But should have mentioned the most expensive option. :) So I can also add Water Woods.

Well the Heritage B-15 may be five large, but the only non-American parts are a handful of resistors, the power and rec tubes, and possibly the wood and tolex. So that's pretty American ;)

People just don't understand that America sold or shipped away manufacture of small electronic parts? We are now a consumer not a manufacturer. Sad but very true.

There's tons of good hardware out there. Personally I've found the Genz Benz Shuttle 6.2 / 12 T to handle a low B perfectly and it's got loads of volume, easy to extend. But, given the restrictions you're imposing on gear selection, I'd say the GK offerings are the best match and bang for buck.
