USA Cirrus Question

I have a USA Cirrus 5 I bought in 2006, it had been hanging in a local music store for quite a while ( too pricey for this area I guess ) so I'm not sure of the year. ( I never thought to ask at the time )

The store is gone now (sadly after 30 + years ) & my friend that sold it to me has passed away so I can't ask any more questions.

He told me at the time that it was a custom shop model but the serial tag on the back of the bass is blank?

Anybody else with a Cirrus 5 have a blank Serial plate?

I'm just curious ...

Shouldn't the serial number be stamped in the back of the headstock anyways? If so, you should be able to call Peavey Customer Service and get all the answers about exactly what that bass is. It looks like a standard, walnut/bubinga Cirrus to me. It seems to be the most common configuration out there for the Cirrus, not really anything custom about it that I can tell. They are fantastic basses though!
