Worse part of playing music is dealing with musicians.
Anyone can sing. A vocalist can actually use their voice as an instrument.

Yeah yeah. It was a joke. I'm well aware and have played for and recorded with some exemplary musicians who happened to be vocalists.

I roll my eyes when the vocalists complain about spending $100-200 a year on anything gear-wise.

Occasionally I run into vocalists who ARE tool bags. Almost nothing worse than trying to chase a vocalist who can't count or even listen for the subdividisons to know where they are in time.
No, vocalist, in the sense of being able to create vocalisations. My cat can be quite vocal too.
I'd say it's the other way arround.
Vocalizing means producing sound through the respiratory system to communicate. Singing is a type of vocalization which has a musical intention. So, everybody is a vocalist, animals include; a lot of humans try to sing, but only a small percentage of people does it with mastery.
I can hardly consider Yoko Ono a good singer, but boy can she vocalize!
Your cat is probably closer to a singer than Yoko.
All I can say is: I'd rather have Yoko in my band, than a USB charging port on my bass.
(I don't fathom the Yoko-bashing! Yes, I get that she did some crazy caterwauling in the sixties, but she actually sings some pretty good stuff on Double Fantasy...)

I keep two of these on hand, one in my stingray, the other in the case. I simply swap them every 6 months just like regular batteries, and keep the "spare" charged when I take it out, and just before putting it back in, so it's always ready.
Also, I've measured the output...the 9v Lithium Ion batteries have an internal regulator, that doesn't brown out, it stays at 9v right up until it dies. True that they quickly die off when it's their time for a recharge, but they've always lasted me 6 months between changes. I only know how It dies because I left the bass plugged in on purpose for a couple weeks.
