Used gear from Guitar Center

I live in CT.

I bought a used bass from NY.
Shipped to my house in 3 days. VERY well packaged...double boxed...mini inflatable pillows.

Turned out, it wasnt what I wanted,
So I returned it to GC in Manchester CT.
(I was puttin the $ toward suttin else, so maybe thats why they were able to "take it back" at a different store.)

That was my experience on the subject.

I have bought all used items sold to Guitar Center stores by musicians. No they dont really give you alot because they have to try to make a profit. But when i buy things used from GC, i try to buy from the smaller stores, usually they're stuff is cheaper than the bigger Guitar Center stores, and in better condition, IMO. I did sell my Lakland 55-01 bass to Guitar Center for $400, and i bought it when they were only $700 4 years ago. My local GC is trying to sell it now for $650. i feel i got a good deal.

I bought a Conklin GT-7 and a Yamaha TRBII-6 used online at great prices and had them shipped to my house. They are both great basses I got a super deal on, so I didn't have to worry about a return scenario.

My local Guitar Center seems to be a dumping ground of broken used gear.Half the time the used gear is broken &/or doesn't work.Last week I bought an older used GK 1001RB for $199.Worked fine in the store.Got it home and after 30 minutes the volume dropped & it started making all sorts of crazy noises.Next day I returned it(hassle free!)Plugged in a used older GK 400RB and the amp turned on but there was no output! No wonder why I previously hadn't been to Guitar Center in 2 years LOL!

That said,I bought a SWR 12-pack(2X12) cab a while back online from a Guitar Center out of state.Fortunately, the cab showed up and worked perfectly fine because it looked like a 3rd grader packed it.Was packed in a big loose box with one piece of packing tape wrapped around the box.Nice.
