Used Glockenklang ONBOARD PREAMP

Hi!

I want to change the preamp of my Bass Collection and want to buy a 2 band EQ Glockenklang; I found one of those used for a great price (less than half the new price), but the preamp has one problem, the balance pot passed away. Fortunately I emailed Glokenklang and they sent me a new balance pot, for free.

Now I want to know if I have to concern about something before buying the used preamp...

It seems they're good with customer service, you haven't bought the pre but they gave you a balance pot for free. There's only one way to see if that pre is working though. You have to bite the bullet.

What do you want to say with 'bite the bullet'? (sorry, I'm portuguese, and sometimes the english expressions seems weird to our language)

Sorry, it means you will need to purchase the preamp to determine if it's working

Oh okay, sorry and thanks. Now I'm worried because my Bass is active (Bass Collection SB320 SGC Nanyo) but someone replaced the original preamp for a aftermarket preamp (don't know the brand) or just changed the original pots (I'll post pictures).

Now in the center position of the blend pickups (using neck and bridge pickups) the sound is not clean, is very distortion. But using one or another alone, the sound is clear. I don't know if that is a preamp or a pickups problem...
