Used Peavey T-40

here it is

You found it at the Albuquerque Guitar Center correct? I saw that one there over Thanksgiving.

I was very tempted at the time, pulled it down to play on it. I actually made the staff nervous because I pulled the giant ladder over to get it down since nobody was helping me. It is a great way to get some fast attention though.

It sounds good. Enjoy it since I could not. Money is tight since we were moving back to Portland.

I love my T-40!!!! I got a 79' and I use it for recording mainly, such good tone and the tonal varieties are limitless. I picked mine up with a couple broken switches for around $150, but it didn't take too much to put her right again. Playing live is possible with a decent comfy shoulder strap, but I tend to use my short-scale bass since I have tiny hands. I'll never sell the T-40

Thanks.
That places your in 1984.

For those interested in Chips work, I'm sorry to say he just recently stopped due to the onset of macular degeneration.

The only way to get your hands on one is to buy an existing one (good luck!) or have someone build you one, but trust me, you will be paying more than you would from Chip, but that cannot be helped.

And for those interested in joining the T-60 forum, it's more active, I'm there, and I can say there is a bassist presence, you won't be out of place with your T-40s! :D

And Pepe, I never get tired of your collection, you strike my same interests, Fender and Peavey.

Indeed, Pepe's collection is quite sick. I remember a thread with a custom fretless (Non- T-40 platform) he was having built a year or so back. His black-and-maple T-40 is the cat's pajamas.

I bet he reads this and says "Sick?" "Cat's Pajamas?" Don't worry...those are all good things!

Here's my new beast! I picked it up about 10 days ago, but was too busy to really have an extended jam with her. I spent about 2 hours playing today, and it sounded awesome! Really, like 10 basses in one (and about the weight of 10 basses, too!!!)
