Used strings

I removed a set of strings to try a different brand, but decided I liked the first set better and put them back on. But after doing that, it seems they lost some of their tone. Is it a no-no to re-use strings? Thanks, Dirk

The only strings I ever put back on were either old or flatwounds. I did not notice any change.

Done it many times. Never a problem.
