I am an iPhone/iPad user and i found there are lots of apps very helpful(some are must indeed!) in my practice. Just wanna know what other great apps are there to help people grow as a musician! Let me start with the followings.
- Pro Metronome: metronome is a must, and this app have many features that's helpful in building your time sense: mute a certain bar for every X bars, click on different rhythms, automatically speed up...etc
- iReal Pro: incredible backing track app...with this app you don't have to own a thick heavy Real Book/Fake Book to practice. You can create your own progression and practice with it, or you can download thousands of chord sheets from the iReal Pro community. And you can change the key/tempo of the song as you like, and you can make your practice even more challenging by allowing the app to change key/tempo automatically.
- Guitar Pro: no need to mention, it's simply incredible to have all you guitar pro files in the ipad!
- Jam Player: This app is awesome, that it can open songs in your music library, and instantly analyse the key of the song, the chords of the song. And you can slow it down or change the key...very useful to learn new tunes.
- GarageBand @ iOS: This app is getting better and better...I now use it as my drum machine on the go...it has an intelligent drummer that you don't even need any knowledge on programming a drummer to make it work! and it's free now...pretty awesome!
What else can you think of??
