Double Bass Useful iPhone/iPod apps for bass players

I've got a large collection of fakebooks on pdf. I'd like to find a way to build set lists out of those books, so I could, say, open a fakebook pdf, scroll to the page I need, and then assign that page to a set list. Then do the same with other pages in other pdfs.

There has to be a program that can do that, no?

Really? I have my doubts.

Let's imagine I have a pdf of "the real book," the whole book as single pdf with each page of the book showing up as a pdf page. of course I don't have this, because it's illegal, but let's imagine that I do. The pdf file is NOT INDEXED. It's just a bid pdf with pictures of each page of the book.

Can I go through it, pick out, say, ten songs (meaning, ten individual pages in the pdf), assign then to a set list, and have the set list just open that page? And do that with multiple pdf books?

Yes.

Yes, this something that iGigBook is specifically designed to do.

I strongly believe that there's no better way in learning the bass guitar!

Check out the FREE Lite Version of my ipad App and tell me what you think!

I just downloaded it. Checking it out later.. I think No Treble mentioned it a few weeks ago.

Just watched the intro video, and not being a native english myself, i can say that you accent is great to clearly understand what you say... al least for those (like me) who sometimes have some issues with some accents.

Cheers

I saw this in the Sweetwater catalog: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

It works with the iPod touch if you get some software from the App Store; otherwise it works with older iPods as is. I don't know how it sounds, but it looks like a candidate.

How does that device works? Do you know? Can you connect the device to the amp and record whatever you're playing? Thanks!

Yes iGigBook will do this, as will ForScore! (which is what I use). But you don't need these right? You have all your material memorized. ;)

It's not illegal, Hal Leonard sells Real Book 1, 2 and 3 on CD ROMs, however these CD ROMs contain each song as an individual PDF(400 of them) with a cryptic numeric names. What you would need is an app that can combine those 400 songs into a single PDF and allow you to search by song title.
