Yes, the admin team made the decision to not use the red "banned" banner any longer. Users with real names on their profile could have their RL reputation negatively affected, we wanted to avoid that.

For months I've been wondering, how long would you have to go without logging in or posting to trigger the software to mark your account "inactive"?

And then when I saw it by the name of someone who had posted very recently, I started looking at my account profile to see if there was a "mark account inactive" button.

Which proves, I think, that the search for a term a lot more benign than "banned" was definitely a success!
