Using 2 old Kustom amps together

I've got 2 of the rolled and pleated Kustom bass amps from the 70s. Is there a way to hook the 2 heads together to utilize the combined power? One is a 100 watt RMS and the other is a 50 watt RMS. Thanks.

Not using the same cabinet.

If you have each amp with its own cab, then you could use a splitter box to feed both amps simultaneously.

I'm not familular with this. Where do you get a splitter box and how does it hook up? So what if I wanted to use the same cab with the 2 heads. Would that be possible and work? Thanks

Any stereo effects box can do it. You can also use an ABY box. And if you want to get real cheap about it, you can use a Y cord from Radio Shack with all-female ends. You just need something to split the signal in two.

But you have to use two cabs. Two heads / one cab = magic smoke for all.

I wanna stay away from the "magic smoke" for sure. Does the splitter work by plugging one end into the bass guitar jack, then plug into the splitter, then one cord each from the splitter into the input of each amp? BTW JimmyM, due to other very time consuming issues, the 70s Ampeg SVT cab that we chated about back in December is still on hold. Some day soon, I hope to get started on it.

I can dig it...life comes at you fast, as the insurance ads say. My cab's done but the tech has been lazy about the head. I can't say I blame him but it's been almost 5 months now.

Anyway, you got it exactly right with the splitter.

Oren, You can "daisy chain" the two heads together no problem. Just plug your guitar cable into the 1st input of the 1st amp then take another guitar cable and connect it from the 2nd input of the 1st amp into the 1st input of the 2nd amp. done.. and LOUDER!
