Using a comp to accent the highs

I have a keely pro comp

When I use comps in the computer, even clean ones, I often use them to accentuate the highs.
I user them to bring up upper harmonics to enrich the highs and give them a little more texture. Sometimes quite a bit and I'll often use a comp instead of eq for this purpose.

With the keely I can't seem to do this.

What am I doing wrong, or does this comp simply not do this?

I know the keely adds some very top end pretty , but not to the levels I'm used to.
