I was gifted an iPad Air 5th Gen, and I have been trying to use it for capturing our duo when we perform. I'm getting better at the angle I like, but the sound is wanting for sure. It's an acoustic guitar/ bass duo. I was wondering if it would be better to find an external mic that is compatible with the iPad, or maybe there's a way to run a line from our Mackie mixing board to the iPad? Or maybe record the audio on a different medium altogether and glue them together in post? Any ideas? What do you do if you want high quality sound in your live video?
