Using Bergie HT+EX...need something bigger?

I was in the same boat for awhile. I had the mini stack, changed bands, got a 322, then a nv 610, then got another 322. Some of the shows we do dont have a pa so it was all my rig and I need to be loud sometimes.
I found the 322 to be louder and has a stronger low end than the nv 610. jmo, but the 322 is still the best single cab Ive heard and Ive heard a bunch of them.

btw, Im a rock bassist with a 5 string for reference.:bassist:

P.S. Saw that an IP112 will cost me ~$1800 in another thread. *falls out of chair*

Cool, thanks! So hard to know what to do - great data point since you went through the whole progression! A used 322 is at least in my budget :)

Do you carry it in a Sedan by any chance?

I got a Bergie HT322 in the back seat of my 2001 Maxima, but it was *really* awkward to get it in and out of the door. That's when I traded the Maxima for a Nissan Murano SUV. That said, I gig 95% of my gigs with my Bergie HT/EX Mini stack and only use the 322 when I needed the bloom and added depth and punch. Usually outdoor louder gigs. I am VERY tempted to save up the scratch for an IP112 and be done with it. I LOVE my Bergie 322, and how it sounds. But my *back* loves the Bergie mini 112 cabs a LOT more. The more I gig, the more I love the size, punch and performance of the mini HT/EX 112 stack. Gary

Cool, Gary...thanks....so you think the IP112 would obviate your occassional need for the 322? What would you do for a preamp? Would you sell your Ashdown and Mesa and just use a pre?

I suppose if you sold your Ashdown, EX-112, 322, and Mesa, you would probably have enough for an IP112 :hmm:

And regarding transportation...compared to buying a Nissan Murano, an IP112 seems pretty cheap ;) Cool SUV though, or whatever you call those nifty rides.

Good point on the value of picking up a used HT322. You used to hardly ever see them come up for sale, but according to some of the Bergantino dealers, there are some guys selling of HT series cabs to pay for an IP series, to the opportunity may be there.
