Using Two Combo Amps

Hmm. Idk how to phrase this, so bare with me;

Would it be possible to chain/link like, 10 combo amps, place them in a circle, and use some kind of sweeping effect to get a note to travel smoothly around from amp to amp? Like building a "3d" or surround system with combos and direct input:D

I'm guessing it would require making a custom unit with X amount of outputs, but could technically be based on existing rotary pedals..

Could be fun to just try without that effect too. Like, have a circle of amps.. You'd face them inwards for when you practice, and outwards for gigs, and stand in the middle like in a bassnado™.
The only way to do this is to have each amp provided with its own input, not chained together. The note would need to be delayed before being sent to the next input in the circle.
Rotary effects often vary panning between left and right channels, which isn't the same.

Care to elaborate?:D

Marshall Micro Bass for giggles. Worked ok. Even both amps full tilt is only about 60 watts. No fx return to use, so balancing the second amp was tricky. The preamps are stacked, so the second amp was a bit noisy.

Hehe, yeah. A leslie or similar will do the trick. I've got a solton mini-twin I like to mess around with. It's got a still 15" and a rotating drum instead of horn.
That's the "outward spin" effect tho, I was more interested in the "inwards" one. As in standing in the middle with the sound rotating, but still pointing towards you/center of the circle, or even with the sound NOT rotating, just to get the effect of the bass hitting you from all sides at once.

(I mean, to REALLY make the experiment count I'd have to stack them 4-5 amps HIGH too, but I'm not about to go buy 40x25w combos)

I stumbled on these amps by mistake. Each cube measures only 12x13x14. Since 2019 I haven't needed anything more than these 4 cubes. They are not only loud enough for any event but compact and portable to fit in any car. I have since sold off all of my larger cabinets and amps. I use only half of this rig 90% of the time but for the loudest of gigs with no backline support I will double it up and it has been working out perfectly.
