Greetings everyone... so I have a show coming up where I need to switch back and forth from upright to electric very quickly (broadway-ish type deal where the songs come very quickly so not much time for switching). I have a TC amp that I love that does have separate channels with saved presets at the touch of a button... this however involves changing the cable out from one bass to the other, and pressing the button on the amp which can be tricky in the low light between songs. Also you have to dial the gains in as close as possible to not give the sound crew a totally different gain/eq in the same channel. I was thinking if I have to, I could just bring two totally different set ups... one amp and cab for each bass to make it easy for myself and a no brainer for the sound crew... I do have a back up amp that I could dial in for the upright, but the speaker cab I like to use just has the one input. So I'm wondering if there's any sort of switcher I could use to switch which amp head is going to the speaker cab? Is that even sensible or is there a better way to do this that I'm simply not thinking about? Or for this special circumstance should I just run the separate speaker cab and amp head for the upright so its just grab and go and a quick step on the tuner/mute? Thanks for any input anyone may have!
