Valenti #152: hollow JJ5

Really nice one, Chef! I've been admiring it from afar.
My Valenti is #151 but it's behind yours production wise I guess since I told Nino that I couldn't pick it up until Christmastime. It's the black VTJ5 with the white pinstripe. I just ordered a Sadowsky Pre amp to be installed (I originally was gonna go all passive) and I'm getting the same knobs as yours has. Quick question: did you ask for the VTC knob to be smaller than the 2 volume knobs? I'm thinking to have mine have all the same size knobs (except for the pre's bass/treble which will be stacked like yours) and I wonder if it would fit.

clips:
I'm not clip ready. I guess I should buy a Zoom someday. I doubt iphone clips would be worth much, but I could do that I guess.
Neck dive: it ain't here yet. Cain't comment.
Neck profiles: you'd have to ask Nino.
Knobs: I just specified "Fender look vs Sadowsky look."

Yeah; I asked for the wood floor shots.
Worn floors or not, I still think they look nicer than the blackout shots; ymmv, etc.

Nino's a really nice guy, and he's been super easy to work with on all this project.

Chef, that is F'n beautiful!

I still love #51, and miss #008 which was almost too pretty for my ugly skin. In fact, I need to send Nino a pic of the control plate for#51 so I can go back to no preamp. ( dummy here didnt label the connections when I removed it) Dig its natural sound so much, I dont want to color it!

( and I totally agree with you Alan on the Audere pre's )

DYIN' to hear that F'n sound! #51 is light and has more of a "thump" to it than my ash/maple Lakland. Sort of what I'd expect from the F, but...? The natural 'thump' is why I decided to drop a reverse P pup back in her and ditch the coloration device, going all au naturiel and such.

Hope the brown truck shows up soon!

And totally agree on Nino - "salt of the earth" type - to be sure.

I love those vintage FENDER knobs, it completes that STUNNING bass Chef.
