Did you end up keeping this amp & did you get to compare it to the Demeter that's in your profile? Both the Aurora and Blue Sky are great heads. I prefer the voicing of the Aurora.
It's a matter of what your tone goals are. The BS has more tone shaping features. I personally find the eq section of the Aurora capable of dailing in whatever I need. I'm sure you've read the threads on the BS. I'll talk about the Aurora. I love the way it sounds right out of the box. it has a warm full tight low end with muscular mids and sweet highs. The eq section is practical and effective. You can dail in the amount of sag you want, if you choose to. The nuances of my basses shine through. There is plenty of headroom in reserve. It's a well made thoughtful bass amp.
I hope this helps.
That's what I was wondering - thanks!I still have the Aurora and the Demeter. The Demeter is on the shelf as a back up . I use the Aurora all the time. I Should say that I like both heads, they do different things.
The Aurora is dead quiet. I haven't gotten that wanderlust itch to try anything else.

Still a bummer! In the past few months to a year or so, whenever I went to their website, I only saw speaker cabinets, not the amp, so this is not too surprising. Probably, the same issue as with the Valkyrie amp, in that it was too large, too heavy, or too expensive (or, some combination of those), given today's general bass amp market.
I think most of them are running around in Europe. It is a great amp. I've had it for awhile now and haven't grown tired of it. They're hand built by Vanderkley. There are a few out in the wild!
