They look super nice, but the headstock says "pickups deep in the heart of texas" but the site is in Japanese ??
The phrase doesn't even make any sense!

They are super nice....Look like the real thing....but for that price? I would get 3 Classic Vibe Squiers, modd the hell out of them and get a kick ass tube bass amp. And still be able to buy some strings.
Yeah, really expensive, although I think those are list prices. There are some deals for 188,000 JPY, which is around 2,500 USD - still pretty expensive. The normal going price is around 225,000 I think - expensive !!
The neck radius is kind of unusual 210 mm, which I think is around 8 1/4 inch (?). Nut width 40.5 mm = about 1.6"
Anyway, just wondering if its worth the dough !!

Well, I once got quoted $5600 for a "Period correct" 1961 Jazz Bass copy...THATS a lot of money.
For that money I would just search for a true vintage...
I live in Japan and nothing makes sense. There big pizza chain is called Texas hands with an Indian as the mascot. Neither have anything to do with pizza.

I just dropped an email to Van Zandt Pickups in Combine, TX to see if this is a legit use of their corporate identity, especially given that the pickups for sale on the .jp website don't sound like the offerings from Van Zandt themselves...
i've played a van zandt jazz bass, great sounding, better than any jazz bass i've owned before...fender,bacchus,momose,levinson blade,fujigen....
