Wow...any tips on how to approach this, please? Apart from the fact that the DB is somewhat overshadowed by the timps and all else that is going on..
A technical exercise in its own right..

Slow to fast. Minimize bow movement. Barre the lower notes. Practice the bowing pattern on open strings if (when) your left hand gets tired.
