Vegetarian Club Anyone?

Heya, i noticed we've got a Bacon club in here, so i figured why not somethin for the herbivores around here?

I'm not trying to start a hierarchy of people here who think they're better because of this, or a thread of fighting, just a fun lil club.

I have a feeling this is going to be a small or nonexistant club.

I was a vegetarian for about 6 months. I figured why not when I was younger. It wasn't because of personal beliefs but to see if it actually made me feel better as a person.

I felt like garbage. Weak, tired and I was eating a ton of protein.

It didn't fit me, even though I liked having to recreate ways to make tasty food and it's one of the reasons I love Indian food now.

 that's a really great story. hahahahaha:D:D

I'll take no. 3.
My last meat was a hot dog at Yankee Stadium in June 1999.
I've been healthier than ever (never get colds anymore), and my cholesterol level is under control, without medicine. But the "animal welfare" issue is the biggest reason for me.
I'm never obnoxious about it. In fact, in my experience, the obnoxious vegetarians are greatly outnumbered by the carnivores who think it's so hilarious to say, "C'mon... you sure you don't want this piece of bacon?! HA HA HA!!!" or whatever.
It's always the same: a majority is weirded out and somehow "threatened" by a minority.

Yasrsly, either way

u have number 3 . wew!

I don't know if I'm allowed in, I eat fish and eggs but no meat.

i'm a believer in there's no set rules towards anything you do in life, just do it the way you want and it's okay. i eat bread that's made with egg, so technically i eat eggs (usually it's vegans that look out for this, which one day i might be). I don't eat fish, but that's your personal decision not mine.

you can be #4 :bassist:

I've been a vegetarian since my junior year in high school.

Over the last decade or so, there's been a few incidences where I've accidentally eaten meat. Recently, I found out later that some potatoes au gratin had a little bit of ham in it, for example.

The last time I consciously ate meat was about 4 years ago. I was in a country-western cover band at the time. We had a gig at the Rocky Mountain Oyster Festival in Eagle, Colorado. I had to try a few just to say I tried them. For the record, they taste like chicken (or so I understand), or whatever else you dip them in.

Ironically:D

I'll have a number please, been vege since 2004, and haven't looked back, been much healthier, managed to keep weight under control, and even managed to learn how to cook properly, so all it good.

numba 5

Ah, i haven't said why i crossed over yet xP.
Like alot of other people i always thought about it until one day i was taken to a Popeyes and saw a wall sized trey full of chicken breasts. I havent had any meat since.

Fun side story: I was unsure about eating fish , and went to a friends house, for dinner his mom served some kind of fish, and it was disgusting, so i claimed i didn't eat fish either. I havent eaten fish since :smug:
