Double Bass Velvet Anemas vs Weedwackers? Garbos?

Anyone tried both? I switched to the Velvets from steel Helicores because they were way easier on my fingers, but could still be bowed, and way cheaper and less maintenance than guts. I rarely find myself using a bow and am currently deep in a rockabilly band and have considered adding the weedwackers but I'm just not sure. I don't know anyone who's played them personally. My instructor friend said go from the anemas to the garbos but he's partial to the velvets. I guess I just want to know if slapping is easier with the weedwackers. I see videos and it seems like theyre super rubbery and just stick to peoples fingers, slapping away with ease. If they're no better than the Anemas, I won't bother, since I like them and they can be bowed, but I wondered if anyone had experience with both and could compare the two.
