Verdine White on a Peavey and really playing!

It's cool to see Verdine on a Rudy Sarzo Sig and actually playing EWF lines for all of the doubters.

It is hard to tell them apart because they are identical, but I believe that is actually a Verdine White signature model. In a bizarre move when Rudy moved on from Peavey, they slapped Verdine's name on the headstock and called it the Verdine White model. Pretty sure, anyway.

Yep. It might have different pickups (possibly Barts), but past that and the name on the headstock, it is the same bass Sarzo helped design.

That's been his look since maybe 1983. He used to have a huge Afro before the perm.

It is a Sarzo bass with a different decal. I traded the above bass to a local guy around 10 years ago.

That being said, I personally would prefer seeing him play the whole time and dance less.

There was a period where he stopped playing for the sake of theatrics. He is now playing again and not dancing around so much. He's not a spring chicken, you know. I saw EWF/Chicago last September and he was definitely playing live.

I think Verdine will be 65 this year. 1951 was a great year for Bass Guitar!
