I think Kotzen did a GREAT job on the album.

Haven't really paid attention to him since turned into Symbol...

He did that because he had a beef with his record company at the time. I think he went back to his usual moniker some time ago.

The Vertu lineup was impressive, but I think Animal Logic was a better vehicle for Stanley.

Live at the Greek is another good post RTF Stanley album.

Vertu are good and all - the album is enjoyable to a degree! There's only so much blindingly fast 'appregios played as solos' I can take at one sitting. They plugged this album as a new form of fusion. Sounds exactly like some of the stuff that Corea and Clarke did back in the 70's! It feels very retro. I do like some of the melodic work and textural overdubbing - but I find after the album has finished, my ears are totally exhausted!
