Last August, I bought this vintage (1970s, I think) Farmingdale NY era Fibes chrome over fiberglass kit from a Music Go Round in Atlanta. My brother picked it up and took it to my dad's office for storage. I finally picked it up on a visit home in February. And now I'm posting it here for poops and snickers.
The original kit came with a 16"x22" kick, 13" and 14" rack toms, and 16" and 18" floor toms. (Sorry for the blurry pic of the toms.) I only ever play 4 pieces, but I figure I'm set for whatever style I may end up playing (assuming I ever play drums in a band again...

)
I had to buy new parts and do some...um...resto-modding, I guess, to get it in playable condition. The kick drum got new hoops, spurs and heads. All of the toms got new reso heads. And the floor toms got new legs. I still gotta replace the batter heads on the toms, though...
After I bought the initial kit (which was a steal, incidentally), I bought a matching 5"x14" snare shell. I finished it with new hoops, snare throw/butt plate, heads and snare wires.
Behold!
This is a pretty killer kit, so I really hope I get to gig it sometime soon...
