in its price range, i consider it untouchable.
I've attempted to use a BA115 several times in a band setting, and it's inadequate for any band I play in - for rehearsals or gigs...
Yeah, I have to laugh when I read things like this:
"i have a SVT 4PRO and 4x10 cab that will shake the fillings out of a drummers teeth and have the guitarist crying "momma" when thats what i need....."
...and will respectfully suggest that you really don't know what "loud" is...

there is nothing respectful in most of your posts. your pseudo elitist ramblings mean nothing to me. most players who are so convinced they know everything rarely do.
if you don't think an 800 watt amp driving a 4x10 cabinet is loud, or loud enough for most gig settings then it's you sir who have no idea what loud is. BTW in 1980 i sat in the 2nd row at the Long Beach Arena and saw Randy Rhodes play through too many Marshall fullstacks. my ears rang for weeks. i know what loud is.
It's laughable to think that ANY 410:
"will shake the fillings out of a drummers teeth and have the guitarist crying "momma" when thats what i need....."
Really??? - because IME, a 410 is a bare minimum for a rock band with a hard hitting drummer, and can easily be buried by a 100 tube half stack... Furthermore this was pretty funny, too:
"ya gotta chuckle when someone states that a 100 watt combo amp won't cut it with a loud drummer and/or band situation........really?"
FWIW, I've played several thousand paid gigs as a rock bassist - how about you???

I have plenty of experience with music and non-music amps of quite a wide variety (especially considering I build/repair them). 100W will get stupid loud if you want it to.
I do actually play in a stupid loud band. We just happen to keep stage volume reasonable. I can talk to anyone on the stage in a normal voice and be heard. IEMs + good PA = no need for loud stage volume, at all.
a 100 watt combo was never intended to be loud enough to compete with a drummer. funny when people state that it wont with a form pf wonderment....as if it's a really profound statement. did it take all of those gigs for you to reach this level of enlightenment?
as in "really??? Captain Obvious"
are Jazz basses good for Jazz?
why don't you give us a sermon on how really loud amps are good for really loud situations. a guy posts he really likes the sound of a small combo amp and your contribution is that it won't cut it in a really loud rock band. gee.......thanks.
i will concede i don't know what loud is... and i don't want to.
Louder? A little bit, sure. Better tone? To me, yes. To someone who likes the BA115 and doesn't like the 210av and Micro VR, not so much.Micro VR or the PF350 with the SVT210AV would have better tone and be louder than the BA115?
What do you think?
I agree with all of the above... I have also played an average of 200 gigs per year during 23 years in loud bands and a good 4x10 is barely enough.
